  1. http://www.mitchellrepublic.com/outdoors/fishing/4018492-minnesota-angler-catches-sd-state-record-bass this link works
  2. Finesse Fishing is the only thing I was taught and it won't change. Finesse fishing outfishes hard baits in terms of numbers. In some ways I rarely buy hard baits just because I'd rather finesse fish. I often have friends that throw big baits and get skuned everytime while I end up with way more. Finesse fishing works year round and I'm so obseesed with finesse fishing that in the last year aside from MTB I have only bought finesse gear.
  3. Yes works well great bait overall only downside to the 90 is that is catches smaller fish but more numbers
  4. Hello BR I have been doing lots of fishing latley and have noticed in a bunch of ponds that I fish there are beds near the banks. Which is normal but the only thing missing is the bass. I do understand that the water temperatures are changing but has anyone in the NC/SC area seen bass on the beds. I have been careful from the banks to not walk straight up to the edge but I am just wondering why they are not on the beds? Note- the water I am fishing is clear
  5. so many options depending on location, weather, ect. But if you are near a creek some type of crawfish immatation may work. If your looking to catch numbers which I have been targeting go finesse. Try a shakey head or a BR favourite Ned Rig. There is no best bait but right now where I'm located finesse is working. Also a football jig darker colors may work if your located near a creek
  6. Have you seen the tail on the plopper isn't it awsome
  7. Got one in MTB March box and first cast I suspended the plopper over a branch and boom a bass. This bait is so versiatle and it is like buying a 3 in one bait. You can work the bait like a spook, buzzbait, and popper. From past expirences with other poppers this bait gives an easy to use popping nosie that is amazing. When you pop the plopper it sounds like you are cupping your hands and clapping them together. The MTB gave a 90 version and I had such a great expirence with this bait I have already ordered the 130 version.
  8. I don't ever use any worms other than green pumpkin, dark colors, red colored. I have this one friend at any given pond he will tie on a pink worm and catch big bass. Last week he caught a 9lb on pink worm. He uses pink worms mainly in the pre-spawn-spawn but I'm not sure what a bass is thinking when it hits a pink worm
  9. I was using a Cabelas Torunment Rod which M but it feels like a ML. The line was 10lb braid (about 5 months old). I was using a heavy shakey head. Your senario you listed seems to fit mine.
  10. I was using trick worms with the shakey head. But after the bass came off some had ripped the worm and some had kept the worm intact.
  11. Good point. I got the shakey heads from my friend who self makes shakey heads and I'm not sure the quailty. Any shakey heads companys you would recommend?
  12. Hello BR I often see on this site the love for shakey heads and yesterday my friend and I used shakey heads for the first time. I now understand why they are so popular and effective. But both of us lost over 8 fish from the bass jumping and spitting out the shakey head. Has anyone had this problem? I understand that sometimes when bass jump you will lose them but it seems odd losing that many fish from spitting lures just on the shakey head.
  13. Same this year should be a down year. Opening Day should be hard today against the Nats, maybe Julio Teheran will actually pitch well today.
  14. Duke barly beating UNCW is just the beginning of madness
  15. Good Point seems like the producers will leave us on a huge cliff hanging (like they do every season). Is there more Saviors left to help Negan take on Rick and Co.?
