hey those are nice blue gills! how did you paint them? it would be nice to learn your technique for my lures, or is copyrighted? I think it will work great here in Puerto Rico? Do you have a Tilapia colored one?

Look good enough to eat. Nice job.

They are foiled photo finishes !! Pretty hard to learn but I kept at it until I could get them the way I liked them. Havent done a Tilapia yet but I will give it a try. A lot of info on TU about the foil baits, its where I learned the technique. A Big thanks to Husky for sharing the technique with us !!

Thanks Guys !!

Those came out really nice.

You're right, you would think the technique would be easy, but it's actually harder than that. I just completed my first photo finish on a lipless crank as well as a foiled job on a topwater. I'm very happy with both, but I think you have it down Big_Bass_Man1.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks jigfishin !! Post some pics of the topwater and the lipless. I never get tired of looking at the foiled baits.

dang those look nice. how did you do the backs? i have done a few and they always look really ugly on the backs and bellies because of the seams where the two foil pieces meet.

Those really look good.  Do the foil finishes last jist as long as the regular paint jobs ya'll do?

yup, they're coated in the same protective topcoat you'd use if you painted them.

I just try to match the baitfish color as close as possible, that helps the blending in and the hiding of the seams.

They last just as long as any bait with a good clearcoat on them. I use devcon 2ton epoxy .

Thanks again guys I appreciate the kind words !!

so you're just painting the back and belly to match the photo? i haven't tried this since i've had my airbrush, i bet that makes it a whole lot easier. you did a good job matching the paint to the photo!

Yes sir, Thats it, just try to blend it in as close as possible.

If I was able to make my cranks come to life like this I would do it all day long! Great work!

Thanks Man !!

I worked on that style of bluegill for a couple of months before I had the paint colors the way I liked them. Mixing paints to get the right color is key, I just kept mixing and and spraying until I came up with this.

Thanks Again guys for the compliments, Greatly Appreciated !!
