The Booyah! Boogee Bait

Featured Replies

I recently bought the booyah! boogee bait (ya know, the one with the wacky blade, with all the flashiness of a spinnerbait but with the "big fish attractant" of a jig) and i was wondering how i should fish it? slow like a jig, or medium speed like a spinnerbait?

i've caught more fish slow rolling it than any other way. ;)

I have tried every which way and just cant really catch fish one em... no confidence.

Got me beat...I cant figure how to tie the &$*& thing on...Any help would be appreciated.

you tie a palomar knot right to the snap.

ok, so we are tied on... now what?

Cast and retrieve.

Don't ask me what happens when you feel a bump, still trying to figure that one out.

set the hook.they don't hit these things lightly.they either smash them or ignore them.

These baits can be fished in a variety of ways. My personal preference is to fish them like I do a spinnerbait, fairly high in the water column and over and through weeds.
