seat pedestal question.

Featured Replies

I just bought a small leaning pad for the front of my boat. I originally had a traditional seat up there and now my pedestal is to short. Without going to a power style pedestal is there a cheaper route? Do they make an extension for mine?  I really dont have the 80+ bucks for the ez swivel hydraulic at the moment. Any cheaper options? As always thanks, Lee

They make non-hydraulic that have preset heights. They are cheaper. Might work for ya!

Thanks Jeff, Do you happen to have a pad up front? Im right at 5'11 and am curious if 30 inches would be tall enough.  Thanks again for the reply.

Have a pad?  I think you meant pedestal. I do. Mine is a non-adjustable. It just so happened that one of the clicks was just the right height for me. But I am 5'4" on a good day. So I cannot recommend one for you. Best bet is to measure how high you want the butt seat to be and then go to a store that has one in stock and see if it works for you.

I am a big (fat) dude, 6'2" and  320lbs............. In the first 5 years I owned my boat, I went through 2 hyd. adjustable leaning posts, and 2 manually adjustable posts. On a whim...........I decided to couple the two short post's together that came with the boat for the regular seats, and they are/were the EXACT same height as I used to keep the adjustable post on. I have used them in that fashion for at least the last 4-5 years without issue.
