hi, i am 15 years old. i have multiple fishing rods, and two ok fly rods. i caught 4 rainbow trout today. I want to spend around 50 dollars on hooks and tackle for trout. what should i get, what is the best powerboat colors?

are you fishing lakes, ponds rivers or streams? 

 

I trout fish streams quite a bit and mainly use either inline spinners or trout magnets. I don't use power bait that often because it's not as exciting as artificial lures and I tend to hook the fish deeper than i would like when using bait. 

 

Pick up a few panther martins, rooster tails or meps spinners in the 1/8th and 1/16th size. I would get one with a gold blade and one with a silver blade. Trout magnets sound like a gimmick, but they do catch fish. Get either white or black trout magnets, but you need to use four or two pound line if you want to cast them a reasonable distance. I also carry a jar salmon eggs though I almost never use them.

^^this right here is my go to on river/stream trout

I don't use spinners. Ever. Trout magnet, gulp minnow on a jighead, and some sort of floating scented egg are the only baits I even bring with me 90% of the time. 

Are these trout wild fish, stocked full grown into small lakes, or stocked as fingerlings?
