Tips for warm front fishing

Featured Replies

I'm having a hard time finding some info on fishing before warm fronts. It's been pretty mild and very cold (20-40 degrees) the last few days. Very windy two days ago. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain almost all day but it's going to get up to 60 degrees. Will the water still be too cold? Should I even give it a try? If I should go out what should I use?

I have added a picture of the forecast for tomorrow morning. Thanks so much!

Warm rain does wonders for water temps. Fish the windblown side, especially if it's the sunny side. Fish shallow. I'd Texas rig a creature bait (baby brush hog). Good luck

Interested to hear how you did. My dad lives around Des Moines and just bought a boat. He hasn't taken it out yet due to weather. Hope the rain didn't hurt you to bad.
