I just started bass fishing in Tampa, FL. Anyone ever fished there? If so what are the best ponds and lakes in the area. Thanks.

    I am here trying to figure it out myself.  I did catch a fish at Lake Tarpon while on the bank.  Used a Texas rigged Senko.  Still looking for other places and if you come across anything promising, please let me know.

    My brother lives down there. Several years ago he took me to a lake called Thanotasasa. As I recall, it was a beautiful lake with some nice sized bass. We also fished the Hillsborough river. Nice, except the alligators kept me on edge.
