I put two decks in my jon boat. One goes past the front bench and the other over the back bench. I left the middle bench and an open area inbetween.

how exactly did you put decks in your boat? i need a bigger flippin deck  :'(

I built a wooden frame work using the support beams in the boat. Then i coverd it with a sheet ply wood 3/8 inch. i believe my front deck is 4 foot long as wide as the boat and as tall as the rail on the side. Ill get my digital camera this week ill try to post some pics.

It dont look the best crappy carpet layer lol

I think I have a Bell Pedestal on my 14ft Jon boat. It works great. Get some self-tapping screws to mount it to the bench and build a simple box to lift your trolling motor pedal up a little and you should be set. You will find that a Jon Boat is a lot more versatile than you think. Just use your imagination.
