Trolling Motor battery

Featured Replies

Hey i just got a small trolling motor for my 12 ft. aluminum johnboat. Its a Minn-Kota with a 36 lb thrust. I was just wondering if you guys could tell me what your best  choice would be on a good battery for it at a relativly cheap price. Thanks!

If you want a cheap, but good battery, then I would reccomend the Everstart Max from Wal-Mart. Get the big Yellow one it will run 65-70 bucks depending on whether you have a core to return.

I agree.  Many people will say they're no good, but my last Everstart went 5+ years and I just bought a yellow max to replace it.  Just charge it up ASAP after you use it and it should work great for the money.
