Are these trolling moter any good?  Do they eat batteries?  (They are 24V)

That is the same trolling motor I have on my boat. I can easily fish 8 hours and still have plenty of charge.It has more than enough power to pull my 21ft. boat on the lower speeds. If theres no wind I will usually fish on speed 1 or 2 at most. Last summer the stator went out on my boat and I trolled about 3 miles back to the ramp after we were done fishing and had no problems at all.A 24v system will be a lot better on batteries than a 12v.
