The Okuma Stratus is on sale at Dicks for 35 $ would the 6.4:1 be good for cranking? should i get it? thanks.

My only Okuma reels are the Helios Air.  Very nice reels.  I have a feeling that the Stratus was made by Okuma strictly for Dick's.  Therefore it is doubtful many people on here have any experience with one.  Plus Okuma doesn't get much exposure here.  Could be half way decent or could be a waste of money.

An Abu Black Max can be gotten from ebay for as low as $40 plus $6.60 shipping of for $50 from Joe's Sporting Goods with free shipping.  6.4:1 gear ratio.  I have a feeling this would be a better reel.  Black Max get pretty good reviews on here for a lower cost reel.

Or buy, try, and then review it here.  Either give others another low cost option or prevent them from wasting their money.

Online site says it is no longer available.  I suppose some stores may still have some.  My Walmart has squat for fishing rods and reels.
