SE Michigan (Blissfield more specifically) Help

Featured Replies

My wife and I are moving to Blissfield, MI at the beginning of July. MY work is transferring from Toledo, OH up. I know the Raisen River runs through it and has good smallmouth but all my reports I find for the river is for the Monroe stretch. Does Blissfield have a good Smallmouth population? Also were are some other good inland lakes for large and smallmouth in the Blissfield area besides Erie. Thank You

I was born and raised in monroe and I know the River Raisin well. Bliss has some sallies but it is better for channel cats. From Dundee down to lake Erie the river has better bottom for those sallies so you find more in that stretch. For inland lakes head out to the Irish Hills area. There has to be at least 60 lakes out there within 2 hour drive from Blissfield all have some good fish in them. Wamplers is a great lake for bass and panfish. You have Vineyard, Evans, Sand, Clark, Devils and many more you can hit up in that area. Knutson in Brooklyn can point you in the right direction.
