Anyway, I agree that these products work without question. For me it is a must with flouro.

I use it regularly. Yes, it makes a difference. No, it is not a gimmick. Some folks may not notice the difference, but some folks swear that Ugly Stiks are as good as any other rod or all fluorocarbon is unmanageable. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

KVD works if you follow the mfr's instructions and spray it on spooled line hours before you use the reel, it's not a spray as you fish type of line conditioner.

Tangle Free line conditioner works as a spray as you need it product and I prefer it.

Blakemoore Reel Magic, IMO, causes more harm then it helps., it's a reel repair mans friend.

Thanks guys, about the cotton cloth. I will change to spraying the line with the product and let it sit overnight.

I will also ask the pro about using a cotton cloth.

That is interesting.  Just a while ago I started a subject on silicone to use as line lube.  The few answers I got did not really address that.  They were more in line with this subject/question.  Can you elaborate on how it hurts line and reels.  WRB made the comment that reel magic is a reel repair man's friend, too.
