Lure paint

Featured Replies

Hi all, had a quick question and you'll have to forgive me if it's been gone over before but I could not find it in any searches. I have some spinnerbaits and jigs where the paint on the heads has totally come off from banging against Bridges and rocks and trees and such.  I have a little time on my hands and I was going to repaint some of them. What kind of paint do you guys use to paint lures? I was thinking some of that testors model enamel paint, but any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Keep crossing those eyes!

Lacquer paint will hold up better followed by an epoxy topcoat, however stripping the heads completely and powder painting is the best solution.
