Ok so I am getting some new jigs in pb&j and was wondering if you all think that using dark trailer in dirty water and natural trailers in clearer water would work? So that way I only have 1 jig tied on but it covers all situations with the change of a trailer. Also is there really a difference between a Berkley Havoc Pit boss and something like the Netbait B bug or strike king rodent?

The differences in beaver style baits are all subtle, sometimes a particular design works and others don't but the main difference is the appendages, less is better, at least for me. Using a dark trailer in dirty water is what most jig fisherman do but in clear water I use green pumpkin, brown, or black.

Yes, that'll work! Bass rarely discriminate with jig colors. Find something you're confident in and throw it.

This. From what I know the only reason for color change from natural to dark in muddy water is just to help the bass see the jig better

also wanted to add that I understand the convienence of using one jig all day but it's always good to retie every so often. Don't want to lose a monster!

black and blue seems to be popular 

I only use two trailer colors, no matter that my jig color is. Black and Blue and Green pumpkin. Another good all around combo for all water colors is a green pumpkin jug with a black and blue trailer, it works all the time for me. My favorite trailer is the rage bug. I can bite it at different sizes to make it how I want it and the action just seems to work really well. It also skips amazingly.
