Whats wrong with my sonar?

Featured Replies

I have a Eagle Fish Elite 320 that turns off by itself. Cant figure out whats wrong with it. Sometimes the screen freezes up and wont  sound off. Anybody know whats wrong with it?

Boo-

It could be a couple things.  Something might not be wired right(although not likely if it used to work).  You may have gotten a bum unit, I would call lowrnace/eagle and see what they say, that unit still should be coveered under warranty and they are really good about that stuff.  The only ther thing i can think of is if you are using lake chips such a navionics or lakemaster with your gps feature, you need to make sure you have all the updates for the unit before running the chips, if you dont know if your unit is up to date, you can check it on the lowrance/eagle website.

Sorry about that, its a Eagle Fishmark 320. Called Lowrance today about a repair, they said it would be $99.00 since it was out of warranty. Guess I might as well buy another unit.

I had the same problem with my Eagle 480.

It was a connection the looked to be fine even when I tugged on it. But when I was under way the sonar would turn off then back on. I just redid all the connections now all is good.

Good Luck
