Joe_Man
Hey I'm new to the site. Does anyone know anything about Hydro foils for small outboards like 10hp size are they worth it to prevent porpoising in small boats? I have a BassTender 10.6 and recently bought a 9.8 hp Tonhatsu 4 stroke Outboard. I'm am wondering if these things help or are they a waist of money. ??? Muddpuppy
I put one on a 40 hp. It seems to help alot on both slow and fast take offs. It goes up on plane alot quicker and controls the bow lift pretty well. The main reason I tried one was my prop would wash out alot. It pretty much stopped that problem. I think my boat handles alot better, with it on. It might help if you can get the motor trimmed right.
