  1. Hey I have a Motorguide 54lbs pound thrust trolling motor made for the stern mounting. If I mount it on the front of my boat can the throttle handle be rotatade 180 degrees, or not I thought there are just wires inside the handle, or do I have to buy a bow mount motor? any info is appreciated
  2. : My question is about transducer placement. I bought a sliding bracket that mounts to the transome and holds the tranducer so it can be raised and lowered to match the water line. This Bracket is sold by Cabalas and BPS. the problem is the backet is to be put on the transome where the outboard or trolling motor is placed. The Lowrance X125 Manual said the transducer has to be 12 inches away from the motor to avoid water disturbance. My problem is the only way for the bracket to work is it will be like 6 inches away from the outboard. Will it still work or is it better to mount in the bow mounted to a trolling motor? PS there is no mounting block built into the transom you would be drilling holes below the waterline which is something I don't want to do.
  3. Hey I'm new to the site. Does anyone know anything about Hydro foils for small outboards like 10hp size are they worth it to prevent porpoising in small boats? I have a BassTender 10.6 and recently bought a 9.8 hp Tonhatsu 4 stroke Outboard. I'm am wondering if these things help or are they a waist of money. ???
