Best Scale for the Money?

Featured Replies

I am looking for an accurate scale in the $30-$50 range. Does anyone have suggestions?

I use the Rapala Pro Guide digital scale. $34.99 on Tackle Warehouse.

I have Berkley one that was around 30. So far I have had no troubles

I have this one as well and never had any issues.  I even went to the extent to have it certified by the IGFA because, at the time, I was chasing the 6 lb. IGFA line class record for Kokanee.  I ended up getting the record only to get beat about a year later.  No issues with accuracy from the IGFA when the paper work was submitted.

I use the Rapala mechanical fish gripper scale. Pretty good scale for $33.00

The Accu-Cull scale has been working fine for me. Cost $34.95.

I added the spring clamp so I won't have to puncture the fish's mouth with the big dull hook.

It's not shown in this photo, but I have added a short length of 1/8" I.D. neoprene tubing to the hook to retain the spring.

I got one and its just as accurate as my berkley scale. It also takes aaa batteries which makes replacing batteries cheap if they ever die.
