  1. Just a regular ole largemouth
  2. I only fish the chatterbait original because they're way cheaper. Wish I could help though
  3. That is awesome! Thanks
  4. Does anyone know where I can buy some wholesale or cheap tungsten? Seems there are some sketchy websites to buy it but does anyone have a reliable source? Thanks
  5. Personally, I use a baitcaster. The advantage that I see is just how many more casts you can take with one.
  6. Choose between monofilament or braid with a leader in my opinion. I use almost all 12lb Sufix monofilament being that my fisheries are clear.
  7. Based on reviews the Powell Inferno seems like a good rod for the $100 price tag. Does anyone have anyone like these rods?
  8. Hate to say it... but that's probably how it will go down unless they're on beds. Crazy warm weather has pre spawn right around the corner for us... in February!
  9. Hartwell is my home water and it can be a very hard fishery because of our blueback herring and lack of any true structure. Only structure we have is docks and brush piles. But you still see tournament bags that exceed 20 pounds
  10. So the location of the 2018 Bassmaster classic was revealed today. It's going to com back to Lake Hartwell for the second time in 4 years. Personally, I am excited because hartwell is my home water. But what are everyone else's thoughts on this? I personally believe that they are coming back because of how hard fishing on hartwell can be to people who aren't local. Thoughts?
  11. I need to buy a new rod around that price range. It's going to be a Medium Fast and between 7'-7'3". I'm looking at Duckett, Dobyns, St. Croix, and Fitzgerald. Any suggestions?
  12. I got one and regret it. Short, simple answer.
  13. Thanks for all of the much needed help yall.
  14. I don't know where you are fishing, but if it has smallmouth the water is probably way too clear for 17lb leader. I'd probably go with more like a 10 or 8 pound leader but you really have to fight the fish instead of horsing them in. Hope this helps.
