which boat should should i buy?

Recommended Posts

I used to have a 10ft BassTender and a 2 seater Duracraft. Both great boats.Watch out for the plastic foam covered boats..Alot of grief when the foam wears out and the seats are useless. Do a search for Waterquest..I think they make the Bass Tender.

These may be out of your price range or not of any intrest but have you checked out Porta Boats. They fold up and you can carry them on top of a car under your arm ect. I had checked into them to take if my wife goes rideing in the mtn. I don't remember the price, I think their kinda high. They sent me an e-mail to check one out at a local boat show but I already had plans. I think they can be used with oars or an electric or gas motor.

Zoso is right about the Basstender....my buddy has one that I borrow every now and then to fish the pond down the road. But I believe that the 10.2 Basstender runs about a grand. For that much you could get a 14' jon boat with a outboard motor attached to it.

Check out the Pond Prowler at Bass Pro Shops.  I have one and it is a very good, stable boat.  Throw a trolling motor on there, and you're set to catch a ton of fish.

They also have 8 & 9ft sizes; and it looks like the 9ft is on sale right now.  8)

I am also looking for a boat.  Do the Plastic boats like buster boats work in a area where winters are cold and snowy?

Take a look at the Buster boats also here is the site busterboats.com
