  1. Try mounting the transducer mount to a small piece of metal sheeting and glueing the metal sheet to the boat. A piece of wood also works.. Did that on my Duracraft Boat ZoSo71
  2. I used to have a 10ft BassTender and a 2 seater Duracraft. Both great boats.Watch out for the plastic foam covered boats..Alot of grief when the foam wears out and the seats are useless. Do a search for Waterquest..I think they make the Bass Tender. ZoSo71
  3. Sounds Like an oppertunity for a DropShot! ZoSo71
  4. I catch Seagulls all the time topwater trolling with a Blaze Floating Minnow. Kinda messy when they get hooked or don't wanna let go.. ZoSo71
  5. Darn..I missed the flight..Maybe next time.. ZoSo71 Buy American or Bye Bye America
  6. I always catch a lunker or two on a hotdog while fishing for catfish. I use sliced hotdogs with a spray of WD-40 (don't worry it's safe for the water) Zoso71
  7. Iv'e gone through 2 sets of bearings on my Minnkota 35N (17lb) It's used for my 8ft boat.. Mainly it's because of the weeds I encounter on small lakes getting tangled up.. I'm going to look at Motorguide next.. On my 16ft Lowe I have a Minn 55# It's a little sloppy but works.. ZoSo71
  8. LOL..Preach On Brother! Iv'e seen some of thoes! They are also not afraid to pull down into the water up to the cab..So they don't scratch there boat. Gotta love it ZoSo71
  9. If you just want depth and temp.. Eagle Cuda 128 about $80.00 just about anywhere.. ZoSo71
  10. I work in the auto industry. Marketing has everything to do with making or breaking a product. I wouldn't base my next purchase on the commerical they show.. Marketing could sell anyone a boat with a 3 foot hole in the hull..If they had an unlimited budget. The best way is to experience the product first hand. I think Lowe holds the #1 spot for Customer Satisfaction from NMMA. Skeeter boats look really nice..But you pay for all that.. Just like lures..The more you pay..The better they catch fish as some would think.. ZoSo71
  11. I just bought a 50hp Evinrude E-tec..I don't have to do anything to the motor for the next 3 years. No Winterizing (fogging) No Oil Changes..No Grease.. I replaced my 50hp Merc (2 stroke). Big diffrence.. Alot quiter..Not as much smoke.. Plus it's better for the enviroment. Took it out last weekend in my 16ft Lowe (v hull) I was impressed.. ZoSo71
  12. I use my wifes 2003 Kia Sodona MiniVan to pull my 16ft Lowe FM165s.. Don't even know the boat is in tow. Great Gas Mileage and no problems at the ramp. I used to pull it with my 1999 F-150, But it felt like I was pulling a 16ft Wide Drift Sock. Just wasn't worth it anymore..It's nice on really shorts trips.. But that's about it ZoSo71
  13. Here in Ohio..When a cold front moves through...You can expect some very nasty weather! I was about 1 1/2 miles away from my car at La Due lake when a fast moving storm rolled in.. I knew my 17lb trolling motor would not get me there in time. About 10 minutes later the winds started and there was no hope.. I put on my life jacket and dropped in a senko..And rode the waves into shore.. I ended up bailing a few times with my pop can.. I started to get worried when the waves hit the boat broad side and took on alot of water. I gathered my tackle box and rods and hooked them to a few bobbers and fishing line, In case I needed to retrieve them later from the lake. But The waves pushed me right into the shore where I fished the rest of the day. After the storm It was pretty good fishing! ZoSo
  14. I wish I had your problem ;D... ZoSo71
  15. Speed/Tach cable could be the issue... My Speed -O-Meter cable in my 68 El-Cameno made a chirping noise months before it finally broke.. Just A Thought ZoSo71
  16. State Record here in Ohio is 9.5lbs by Randy Van Dam in 1993... I swear I caught a bigger one in the Cuyahoga river, But I never carry a scale (just becomes a dissapointment in the end) Enjoy ZoSo71
  17. I like my Frogg Toggs... Not to expensive and very comfortable.. Great Deal for the people who have to buy them. Enjoy ZoSo71
  18. Good Evening! I'm Dave aka ZoSo71.. Just found this fourm and found it to be pretty nice.. Iv'e been fishing for 30 years, And learning for 31 years. I fish mainly Ohio Waters And recently started to hunt down Big Pike and Musky. I love to Bass Fish and Spend 51/2 hours a day fishing (during Spring/Summer/Fall) I don't Ice Fish.. walking on a iced covered lake, Is not my kinda of excitement. And have too many friends that almost didn't make it home. I live on a 52 acre bass lake and can be on the water whenever. I get up around 5am and fish till 7am..Then goto work I'm on the lake again at 4:30 till about 7:00pm.. (the wife comes home). So.... I'm glad I found a spot to share and learn.. Enjoy ZoSo71
  19. I live within a 20 minute drive from 3 Dick's stores and 2 Wal-Marts...About 30 minute drive to Gander Mountain. Dick's has a decent selection If you can navigate all the clothes (Under-Armor (Sweat Shop Clothes)) And up 1 floor..Somewhere in between the Painball Department and Swimware.. But they can be a little expensive. Our local Wally-Worlds are less then great..Unless you need some Catfish Tackle or 5lb sinkers.. Gander Mountain is near my home lake and only go there if I need something quick at any cost.. Forget the Local Tackle Shops Way too Expensive unless they have something made local. I go where I can get the best deal. Enjoy ZoSo71 I go where it is cheaper!
