I'm looking for a new rod for my pflueger trion TRI35. I previously had an old ugly stick but I am ready for an upgrade. Anyone have any experience with different rods in combo with this reel?

    I'm thinking mostly for trout and smallmouth, but pretty general purpose. And anywhere from $50 to 150$

    There's a ton of options.  I'd say a 6'6"-7' medium/fast rod.  Take a look at Fenwick elite tech, hmg, tatula or falcon bucoo.  Can't lose on any of these imo.
