So this dinosaur came into my work today to get re-spooled. Never actually seen something like this before. Pretty interesting

You might be able to use the side dial as a temperature gauge for weather!

It's a cool piece and it reminds me of an old Bantam I have from the 80s.

OLD??? DINOSAUR??? I'll have you know, you young whippersnapper, I have one of those myself, and I was using it regularly until a couple of years ago. It's a pretty darn good reel. Spool it up and throw a few casts with it.

I'm 22 so it was before my time

and I would love to but it was a customers reel. Shoulda asked to borrow it. Still seemed pretty smooth. Could've used some tlc though

Man, that´s a "burner" reel back in those days 5:1 was "lightning fast", I got something pretty much from that time, a Bantam B-Mag 100.

Hangers-on from my Shimano days. They are both still fully functional, and were very solid, reliable reels.
