I will be using Suffix 832 and it will be for bass fishing.  It will be on my first baitcaster and will be using it for most baits.

I'd go #20 if you're set on 832.  It's a thick line and it's tough enough that you don't need 30 or 40 unless you're specifically targeting heavy cover like lily pads etc.  Enjoy learning the ins and outs of the baitcaster, if you haven't watched the how-to videos here on setting it up and keeping it adjusted for braking & spool tension, do it.  Immensely helpful when you're figuring things out.  

I use 20# Power Pro on mine...works great.

So 30# for me, would be max, unless you
fish conditions @Master Bait'r mentioned.

Especially since this is your first baitcaster, I'd recommend no less than 40 lb test braid.  

The strength is overkill, but the diameter of 40 or 50 is going to be more user friendly (IMO) when it comes time to pick out a backlash.  Most 40-50 lb braids are equivalent in diameter to 10-12 lb monofilament, which is perfect for most casting reels.  Thinner braid will be tougher to untangle and more prone to digging in on itself unless you keep it spooled really tight.

Many disagree, but I think braid is a great choice to learn baitcasting with.  Backlashes with braid (for me) are FAR easier to untangle than other lines, and you don't have to worry about damaging the line by kinking it.

i'll use any size, but 30# is a nice medium for me and 40# is really easy to handle in my opinion.  BUT i'd get the BC reel dialed in first using some cheap mono and then once you're really comfortable with it, go ahead with the braid.  another point about the 30# would be if you really like that, you could easily use that on the spinning rod if you really like it since 30# 832 braid is about the equivalent to 8# mono... just a thought.

I don't use any braid that is smaller than 12# diameter mono.  That usually means 40-50# size.  I care little about max break strength and everything about how it handles.
