Featured Replies

I have been fishing the Baby paca Craw, and i have done real well with them. I was fishing Table Rock Lake last week at night and I lost the bass of my life on the baby paca.I was just wondering if any one does fish the Paca  craw ( I think the paca is alittle bigger than the baby) and do you fish both of them in the same areas? And what colors do you fish? I lost my pig on a green pumkin. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :-/ :-/ >:o >:) >:( >:( >:( >:(

I've had success with the Okeechobee Craw color which is green pumpkin on the top & sapphire blue on the bottom. I fish it on a 3/16 oz spot remover jig around semi-sparse Hydrilla & timber.

I like the same color Catt does, but use a T-rig with a 3/0 EWG hook and a 1/8oz Ultra Steel weight. I'll go up in weight for wind and/or deeper water.

I've been experimenting with swimming this bait, since the claws move so freely. I've found that this requires quite a bit more weight to keep it down, and a 5/0 hook to keep it from spinning. I let it hit the bottom, then just crank it back in slowly, pumping the rod just slightly. There have been no tentative bites on this rig. When they hit it, they hammer it.

Cheers,

GK

If there is a better craw plastic on the market, I haven't seen it.

IMO the claws are what sets the Paca Craws and Chunks apart from all others.

Regular Paca Craw + Big Football Head Jig

I'll have this tied on this weekend at Barkley.

Once you get the Paca and Baby Paca figured all out, then you can finesse some fish with Tiny Paca craw.   :o
