I usualy use 8lb but my only lowprofile baitcast reel broke and I have a circular baitcast with 15lb. I also have a spinning reel with 8lb. Im using a 5-6 inch senko rigged wackey and I need your apinion!!! thanks for the help and god bless!!!! Quote

DR_Bass Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I've caught fish that way with line up to 20lbs mono. Normally I use 8lbs mono like you but the heavier the line you use the more it will mess up the action of the bait. One way to get around that is use flourocarbon. Since flouro sinks it will not effect the action. Quote
