What is your favorite floating worm or stick bait?

Recommended Posts

I'm making a switch with my shaky head and various other floating application baits and I'm curious to see what people are using and why. Durability and action are the biggest factors to me, just like most of you I'm sure so let's see what you all think. Thanks in advance guys.

Zoom Original Trick Worm. Make sure it's the Original & not the "Super Salt Plus" or "Better than Salt" - they sink.

Anything from Zman. I like putting a FattyZ on a shakyhead, it's like a super-sized ned rig

I second Z man. Also look into strike kings elaztech finesse worms, they caught me a lot of big bass this spring.

Depends on the application. Shaky head I've tried some different stuff but I keep going back to a ribbon tail power worm although not floating.  It's been a consistent producer for me. Not super durable though. For a surface fished t rig or wacky rig it's hands down Zoom trick worm for me. Also not super durable but I'll take productive and it's been that for me for a lot of years in a lot of different conditions. Hard to beat z man for durability and I get bit a lot when using their stuff for drop shot, Ned rig, and as jig trailers. Just my personal experience

Trick Worm without Salt, Z-Man has a bunch of nice finesse worms, I also like the Lunker City Sluggo SS which is a nice thin Sluggo that has a really good action when fished quickly, or on a shaky rig etc...

I agree with the above post, you can get any bait to stand vertical on the bottom with a stand up style jighead, so sometimes I like a simple curly tail worm, nothing fancy, but I also like ringed baits since rings keep the bait as more of a "Floater" so a simple ringed worm is always in my bag and so is a few packs of Roboworms but at the end of the day...Zoom Trick worms get most of the work for me for a finesse worm or floating worm, and I have a few other brands I have purchased due to color etc. which all work the same for me...

The Pro Senko is a really good bait as a change up from the regular senko, or add bulk with the Fat Ace or Wave Worm fat sticks which when on sale are a great deal...I have done well with some of those swirls they make....
