Just looking to see if there's anyone with some more info on anywhere to really fish around the Fort Benning area. I'm currently a Drill Sergeant so I don't have too much time so when I actually get to go out I like to try something other then the ponds on post. I currently bank fish, planning on getting a boat just not in the hand I was dealt right now. I was going to try joining the Benning Bass Club but after going to a meeting and seeing all the great sportsmanship and willingness to help out, it didn't feel right to join with little time in my schedule, I wouldn't have been to fufill my end of the bargain to give back to the club. So if anyone has any places other than on post (Twlight and Kings) and Coopers Creek that you can fish on the bank give me a holler, if not thanks for reading and have a good one.

Being in Columbus also places you very close to Westpoint and you can also rent boats of various types at the various marinas there, there is one that even rents a fully rigged Bass Boat. WP offers some good fishing as well, Crankbaits and Jigs have served me very well there.

Good Luck
