I am actually very good at "splelling" ... I am not as good at spelling ... ;)

Record keeping is something I have always done personally, and was a part of my professional life as well.  That record keeping aptitude (as well as the ability to catch a couple bass now and again) is what got me "drafted" into the tagging program. It's interesting stuff...

I strongly dislike typing on my phone for this reason. Looks like some things never escape the grammar police:lol:

Don't forget to capatlize an "I" once in while;)

Random question but is it legal to tag bass yourself? It'd be interesting to re-catch old fish.

You would have to consult your state Fish & Game agency if you are talking about tagging in public waters. I would imagine that it's NOT generally legal in most places, or might only be legal with a state permit or whatever.

In my case, our 11 lakes are controlled by a homeowner's association, and we can mostly do what we want regarding tagging, stocking, etc. as long as we don't violate any Tennessee statewide regulations that apply to our waters.

A BR article on skinny bass retaining plastic in their stomachs. In the picture, they don't look new as they do in the OP.

Actually, the worm fragment in my photo doesn't look new at all - it looks fairly well-aged...but probably as a result of drifting in the lake for some time...not as a result of being ingested for a long time.

Yeah. I recently had to throw away some worms that got wet in the bag and discolored. Apparently the bag was not watertight. But those in the article look VERY discolored.
