Any tips for Lake Fork?

Featured Replies

Taking a trip to Fork the last weekend of August. Any tips or suggestions? Dont really want to poach, but any locations anyone would like to share? We dont fish any tournaments there, we are from Kansas. Thanks for any tips

texasfishingforum.com   Lake Fork Marina reports are usually good as well.  It's also the best place on the lake to stay IMHO.  If you've never been before, It can be intimidating.  Even if you've been a bunch, it can be.  In August I would just pick out a creek or two and fish the deeper parts of the creeks.  Try to find inside and outside turns in the creeks.   Mustang, Little Mustang, and Williams are all close together and fairly easy to figure where the creek channels are.  There are also three main lake points right there where you can figure out how deep the fish are.  You'll still be able to catch shallow fish in the early mornings and evenings (night).

Good luck!!
