"Dr pepper" horny toad?

I've been seeing this thrown around social media but I've yet to find out what a Dr Pepper horny toad is. I'm assuming these people are soaking the bait in soda? Anyone else ever hear of this?

    I prefer Miller Lite Horny Toad. Drink Miller, Cast Toad repeat until wife starts yelling

    I've not heard of the Dr. Pepper Horny Toad but, I do marinate my Horny Toads in some olive oil and chopped garlic!
