New Lew's Mach SS MCS Baitcaster

Featured Replies

Hey guys, i've fished a lot of reels in my day and was wondering if the new graphite reels like the new Lew's Mach SS MCS Baitcaster (shown at iCast) are better than the older types of graphite frames like Daiwa and other manufacturers used to make. I didn't know if the process is the same or if the graphite is made a little different. I know that graphite can fracture and aluminum is a little better but for the price i was wondering if it would be worth a try. I just like trying the new stuff.....bait, rod & reel monkey always gets me.

I am also thinking of getting one to see how I like the new super low profile design bit I'm still a little iffy about the reel being graphite. The green will look good on the rod I'm thinking about putting it on.

Shimano Casitas, very nice and smooth graphite body reel. I'm real happy with mine
