  1. I know Iaconelli says "Giant" even before he sets the hook. Then of course reels in a 1.5 lber.
  2. What? You mean Roland Martin didn't win all of those bassmaster angler of the year awards with the Helicopter lure? He sure tried to sell it though.
  3. I've got 5 of the Quantum Tour S3's and love them. I also use Shimano and Daiwa but i really believe the Quantum is just as good. It's a pitching machine....extremely long pitches are easy with the Tour S3.
  4. Here is my workbench....i have so much stuff i can't put it all on here. Lol.
  5. Here's me when it's my time. I'll be floating around the lake like this.
  6. Those are character marks! That shows who fishes a lot and who doesn't....I try to do the best to keep them looking good but i'm more worried about catching fish. I clean and lube my equipment each year but they all have some marks on them....that's what they are for, to use. It's kind of like the one guy on You tube who i won't mention but he acts like he knows his tackle stuff but there isn't a mark on his equipment or boat because he doesn't really fish much....my stuff gets used for its purpose.....my boat goes places others wont go because i love feeling the tug of the green fish so if i end up scratching the boat or reels so be it....they still work just fine. Just wipe them off and go fishing.
  7. I buy almost all of my gear online now. I usually find the prices lower and free shipping with it. I love mom and pop stores but they are almost obsolete where i live. So gotta go for the best prices. Have to shop smart with the continuing health care costs going through the roof.
  8. I think Glenn is messing with everyone.
  9. I'm right there with you brother.....Invizx on all of my pitching rods.
  10. Yeah it's funny how guys are....kinda like hand poured worms are so much better than the ones mass produced...come on.....I've caught plenty of bass on zooms etc....There is also a guy we fish against in local tournaments that only fishes the Ned rig. Well, have yet to see him place in the money yet. Gotta be able to find them and see what they want by matching what they normally feed on. Plus, the ancient jig & trailer still puts big girls in the boat for me.
  11. looks like a knotted mess.....
  12. We are going to get rid of both political parties and start over? Woooo hoooo!
  13. Tommy Biffle has a great video on this...here you go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMEtNH95jsE
  14. It is like warfare...lol.....you stick it in the cover and then boom! Slam the hook set and it's game on.
  15. Man, i don't know what has happened to me but I think all i need is a pitching stick and a jig and I'm a happy camper.....Something about the close up face to face action of pitching a jig into cover....I absolutely love it....even if I don't get bit for an hour I'm still pitching away....can do it all day long....love it love it love it. Plus, the big ladies love a big jig thrown their way. Anyone else feel this way? I mean I'm like a lot of other guys on this site having more tackle than a bait shop but nothing intrigues me more than a pitching stick and jig.....
  16. Way to go Roadwarrior! You can't stop a fisherman, you can only hope to contain him!
  17. Dang it Cookieman........more of my money on the way to S.O.......
  18. Shimano had a lot of problems with the friction ring....the material just basically melted after a while and caused it to reel very tight or not at all just binding it up.
  19. The kick lever is facing down...It needs to be lifted up carefully so you don't take the spring out of its hole and push it over the little plastic ridge that will keep it in place. Should be able to put on the sideplate after that.
  20. i have 4 of the Quantum Tour S3's and all i can say is wow....these are as good as any other reel i have ever fished with...i have Shimanos, Daiwas etc....but Quantum got this right. Now with that said, still have to wait over a few years to see about the durability but after taking one apart and cleaning it, they look real solid. And casting distance is ridiculous. They also have become my favorite pitching reels. So after the original poster brought up the 50% discount code....yes...i ordered 2 more....for that price they are a steal...even with a higher shipping rate....so i'm sold on them. (Also for those who used to have trouble with the clutch problem on Quantums, they took care of that problem on these)
  21. You know....sometimes guys just want to talk about fishing and things like that....maybe someone has a little more information than they can find online....it happens....I've seen a few moderators on this site that have said things like this when there are guys that just want to communicate with others because it's fun. But people need to be careful on answering things like this in this way.....kinds of turns some people off. It's like when someone has a question and they want different views, they don't want to have to just read through a bunch of old threads that might not have the answer because it has changed. Just a thought.
  22. Like me some Snack Daddy Elite Tubes.....they are thick and salty....i even fish with them after i've had a few. I believe they are quadruple dipped. Really good tubes.
  23. I'm glad you guys are bringing up the "darkness" inside BPS....i have had the exact same experience in the Clarksville, Indiana store....very dark....can't see the colors very well....that's why i don't go there anymore.
