I have a whopper plopper 130 on its way. I have read where a hook upgrade is needed. Did anyone find it necessary to upgrade the hooks on their whopper plopper? If so, what hooks did you use? Thanks for the help.

 

Thanks. I will take a look at those hooks. The ones that came with it look weak.

I rarely swap out trebles, but any of the bigger stuff R2S makes come with crap hooks. I swap them for Owner ST-56 1/0's. I run those on Hudds and everything else too. 

you don't need to, i didn't, but use gamakatsu, easy to find and good
