Hey everyone i was wondering if the color of a frog really mattered. I just started frog fishing last year and i have a few different sizes and colors the one i seem to have most luck on is a lunker hunter bullfrog color. So my question is does the color actually matter like ive seen some purple ones and some real unnatural looking ones. Is their a preferred color?

Not really.  Most effective seem to be white and black depending on cloud conditions but I dont even buy that really. 

I like bright colored frogs (or white) because I can see them better and can tell easier if a bass has taken it or just submerged it.

White or black bottom is all I use.

I run white, black and green.

Bottom color light or dark is all that matters, fish will never see the sides/top of the frog.

Top of frog, not really unless in very clear water, but the bottom color can make the difference between them crushing it and taking it down, and those half-hits they like to do. If you are getting those half-bites and no hook ups, change color the right way, and they will try to drown it. Of course, down/up size if necessary and vary your cadence until you find what they like.

I like to keep it simple-ish when it comes to frog color. Black, white, yellow, a frog color, and a bluegill color. In both popping and traditional. Fish can see the sides of the frog, especially when you pause it.
