I know a few years ago they had tons of problems with rods breaking, but I don't know if they still do. I don't have any direct experience with them, so hopefully someone that does can tell you better than I can. 

Probably a good read for ya. I've never owned one and with all the quality rod mfgs out there I would see it as a foolish gamble with your $ to risk buying one with such a bad history.

Ya true.      Ill stay away from them

I have one of the newer ones, great rods. Highly recommended

I dont know about customer service, never needed to use the warranty
