Bait Coffin = Awesome Terminal Tackle Box

Recommended Posts

Spent some time yesterday organizing all my terminal tackle in a 3700 size bait coffin box i got last week.  i used the label maker and went to town on some organization.  this box is pretty awesome.  all the dividers were pre-cut and already in place.  the slots are just the right size to keep everything in there yet separated.  only 2 cons really.  it's a little heavy (but heavy duty) and it's pricey.  BUT, i like it, fits my needs and helped me get everything in order so i'm digging it.

I doubt you'll ever need another one!

Looks good. I tried that with a regular 3700 by plano and it was a mess.

i have been considering getting one of them, price is the only thing holding me back.

Is that the deep or shallow box?

I have a hardware box made by Rigid that looks exactly like this. It works great! Bought it at Home Depot for about 20 bucks.

This is the shallow one. Works great for the amount of terminal tackle I keep with me.

Which specific model of Rigid box do you have? My wife bought me a bait coffin and I love it but would like something similar but the price is too steep.

I think tacklejunky did a review on those and had the deep box for crankbaits . Had a rediculous amount of them in there.

I bit the bullet and bought one a year or so ago now, but I really like it.  Super strong and lots of choices on configurations.

Looks good, I've seen them on the shelf before and always avoided them due to the price. Maybe I'll pick one up

I can back this up. I just bought the deep box for my cranks and was able to eliminate two plano boxes, it holds a ton, I think its 48 slots if im not mistaken. I like that the dividers are already in place and they don't do that weird bending and warping thing that happens when you try to put every divider into a normal box. This setup lets me put one bait in each spot and keeps the hooks from getting tangled. I don't mind the price because of the quality you get. I thinks its crazy to have 48 cranks ranging in price from $5-20 depending on brand meaning that you have roughly $240-960 in baits that you are going to store in two flimsy boxes. Most of my cranks are in the $10 range so I have roughly $480 worth that are now safe and secure in the bait coffin. Protect your investment and make organizing easier.
