Thinking about buying a 168s, and have heard great things about either color.  Thoughts on which one to get?

Match the hatch, what ever color is closer to your trout in your particular area. 

I'd get Lite

I've caught more smallies on the Rainbows, more big mouths on the Lite.

I have only used the lighthe trout in trout pattern. It has out fished my bluegill and shad type colors. I live in North Central illinois, there are 0 Trout where i live, but a trout glide bait flat out works. My biggest smallmouth came on a light rainbow trout 168S Waver in North Central Illinois on a lake that doesn't hold many smallmouth. 

Thanks guys for the help.  Not many LGB's in my area, mostly just smallies so I think I'll settle on the Rainbow Trout and if I ever get enough time to fish downstate I'll pick up a Lite if I get around to it.  Thanks for the input!
