If these were your current rods and you had one more reel (Daiwa TATULA-100HS 7.3:1 ) with no rod what would you pick out of the Aetos that are on sale? I Guess Heavy is the logical choice as I don't have a true Heavy rod. Whats your opinions?

6'8" for a topwater rod?

7'6" Heavy Extra Fast for frogs/toads/other topwater.

So far the MODEL # A681MHFC 6'8" for a top water rod and the MODEL # A761HXFC  7'6" Heavy Extra Fast for frogs/toads/other top water were the two I was looking at most.

Lets see who else has ideas this could get fun.

I did want to order in the next few days hoping they don't run out of what ever model we decide on.  Ill say Monday or Tuesday at the latest and Ill see where the vote is. This way I can have it for the following weekend. 

I'm big on toads, I throw a frog after a miss or blow up. The 7'6" rod would be my pic since I'm looking  for one now but heavier than the 7'6" on your list. 1/4-2 would suit me. Powell is a great rod but I don't like the minimal reel seat. I'll buy another Lews Custom Lite. 

i use an:

IKE 74-6, Lews Custom Lite Grass 7' and an Abu Villian 70-6. 

The Lews gets most of the toad work. 

I would say the 6'8" MH-F, that rod will be very versatile as the length will allow for light worms as well as topwater and even jerkbaits in a pinch.

Yup its a race right now with the MODEL # A681MHFC 6'8" and the MODEL # A761HXFC  7'6"  in the poll. Seems I had the same debate with myself on these.  

Man a rod that covers 1/4-2 sure has a huge range. Must be nice to be able to handle that wide of a spectrum of weight. I wonder how it does with a 1/4 oz casting if it can cast a chunk of 2 oz.  

I don't know that I have but a couple of lures that weight over 1oz so the MODEL # A761HXFC would be sufficient for me. I did double check on Fenwick site and I have the weights correct based on what they have listed. 3/8 to 1oz is what it shows but that covers my heavy stuff.

I like the idea of having a shorter rod with several capabilities. I haven't really got into "skipping" lures a lot as the lake I am on most just doesn't present that much opportunity to need to skip. But I hear a shorter rod helps with accuracy and had read its easier to skip with them. These would be great things to add to the lineup.
