Daiwa Zillion SV TW

Featured Replies

I haven't seen much talk about this new reel from Daiwa.  What's the deal?  I've only seen a few videos (made in the U.S.) talking about this reel.  The spool design sounds interesting.  I figured bass fishermen would be all over this reel.  Do you think the spool is too shallow, is that why people are talking about it?

i have one, i like mine. I throw everything from 1/2oz poppers and swimjigs to 2oz swimbaits and A-rigs on mine, never thought the spool was too shallow. I got it spooled with straight 30lb braid, and the most line iv had out was maybe 2/3 of the spool. I think the spool size is perfect for me.

I want one but I can't spare the funds right now. I think too many daiwa guys are buying up the sv103 reels instead because they love the old zillion frame and can put so many different spools into it with the sv103. I love the twing, sv spools, and aluminum zillions though, so I'm saving up for one. Hopefully I can get it soon and give a review

I plan on getting one when I can come across the money. I personally think line capacity is over rated in most cases. You're not going to make a 100 yard cast I don't care who you are.
