Recommended Posts

I just retired about 6 months ago , ive gota have BackSurgery again on Oct 20 so i'm gonna be laid up again . I wanta learn to Fish , i'm gonna have some spare time to study & research , So i was wondering if someone who knows what their doing could tell me how to approach it in order . This is what i mean it's Fall now i've always heard in the fall find the bait fish . So would it be find baitfish 1 th  you got migration , location things like that . My theory is You can't catch the if you can't find them.  If You can just lay it out in order how to teach a Old Broke Down Man how to fish .GodBless & Thanks  TightLines  Mine

Good luck with your Surgery.

You can find a ton of great articles on how to get started out fishing without spending a ton of money and I say that because you really do not need a ton of tackle to get started.

I would suggest sticking to the simple lures since you really only need a few lures to do well in the fall and colors do not need to be crazy.

Good Luck, I would just type in fall bass fishing lures on Google and you will find articles of the top 10 lures etc...Then just pick out what looks best to you. Topwater is a must since some days they will kill a topwater lure all day in the fall which makes for a great day.

Good Luck...If you have ever fished for Trout, Stripers, or any gamefish, the transition should be easy, same principles....You will always find Bass around structure, and structure can be bait, so finding them is the key...Local bait shops can really help you out and save you time, most guys at local shops are very helpful and will steer you in the right direction, and if not, just look for the concentration of boats and do some copying.....

Are you fishing lakes, rivers, or ponds? If its a lake this time of year it's all about the, creek arms. At least any I've ever fished anyway. Depending on the water temps and how cool the air is getting, they will be farther towards the back of the arm where the Creek runs in
