Can I substitute barrel swivel for crane swivel in the do-it horse head mold?

From what I understand the crane will spin easier?

I'm sure you could because as far as I know, they are the same thing.

What is the Do-It mold # or model, and what cavity are you looking to swap, and what size crane swivel. I have all the Do-it Pony head molds, so if I have the correct size crane swivel I will check it for you. Yes crane swivels do spin better than barrel swivels, and since you are only using the swivel to hold a blade, strength of the swivel will not be an issue.

Mine is a pony head also model PHB-5-A 5 cavity 1/32 to 3/8 weights and takes a #12 crane. My only concern is if the cheaper barrel swivels will let the blade spin, I don't see why the wouldn't work. Maybe there's only one way to find out!

You can but why would you want to??  The cranes will spin way better than a barrel swivel and look better.  

If cost is a major factor get these swivels - they're out of China and I got the tip from a friend about how good they were.

The above size swivel size 8 is a US size 12.  You could also use a size 7.  It takes about 2 weeks to get them in the mail

This is a correction to my post above. I meant to say that the crane swivels fit just fine in the cavities mentioned. Apparently I did not proofread my response. Sorry about that, and yes crane swivels do spin better than barrel.
