Fenwick hmx

Featured Replies

Bait monkey bit me and I popped on a 6'6'' heavy medium fenwick hmx bait caster rod for $45 without shipping on ffo.  I was hoping for 7', but I want to use it for a jig flipping set up.  Tell me I'll be happy with it.... I fish southeastern Wisconsin.  I tend to get more bites finesse fishing

In Wisconsin I'd use it as a buzzfrog/hollow belly swimbait/big worm rod around the pads.

I think you'll be ok with it as long as you aren't pitching into too heavy of cover. Something like a laydowns, docks, pads, or even  grass as long as it's not really thick or matted and you'll be able to get by with that.

Should be fine if your in the weight range for the rod, and not flipping into snot, heavy lilies and thick grass. Only issue i see is not having the leverage to hook the fish and drive the hook in. Tight lines!
