Navionics Vs. Lakemaster

Featured Replies

I'm going to get a humminbird that has GPS, regular sonar, downview and side imaging, probably will cost 1000 or more. I noticed Lakemaster has a few lakes in my area that NAvionics doesn't. Which of the two are better? Or should I get both since Navionics doesn't have all that I need?

Humminbird allows you to do some customization with Lakemaster with depth shading and setting offsets, . I prefer LM in my birds but I run Navionics as well because of coverage

Won't the Humminbird allow you to create your own maps in real time without having to upload it to another web site, then put it back on your depthfinder?

Yes, some Humminbird units have built-in Auto Chart Live that does real time contour mapping to the unit's memory or to a map card with shorelines. It functions like Lakemaster mapping once created.

No unit model has been mentioned in this thread to determine if it might have that feature.

The Navionics Sonar Charts is shared and Auto Chart is not.

Only Sonar Charts added to a Navionics Hotmaps Platinum card would have satellite overlay.
