Fenwick aetos 7'6 heavy questions

Featured Replies

Just got it in today off that wonderful clearance for 80 dollars, question is this it's going to be for all my flipping and pitching needs, has anyone used it for punching though? The 1 oz max rating makes me wonder if it can be. I rarely need to punch as most of what I fish is wood. I'm hoping to use it this weekend. This is the mOst expensive rod I own

you would of been better off with the Elite Tech 7'11'' heavy ...

I'm surprised the weight rating is that low.  I have a MH Aetos spinnerbait rod ( moderate fast and 7'1 or 7'3 I believe) that has a TON of backbone for a MH rod.

I am sure that the H rod is under rated. I have the Aetos 7' MHMF and it can easily handle a 1oz bait (rated as max). Use your common sense but I am very certain that it should be able to handle up to 1.5oz without issues.
