How do I tell if it is a airboat trail?

Featured Replies

I was fishing Everglades holiday park and saw a canal to the side. It was smaller than normal and had a SLOW & STOP signs but it. It was 3 ft deep but the water was high. Also I'm allowed to be in airboat trails right? Also I know you need a orange flag but how high? I heard 4 ft higher than the highest point in your boat and I heard 14 ft high. Thanks.

I got the flag down. I should be able to go in the trail right? As long as I have the flag.

Thanks but I will do what ever it takes to catch some fish.

Having the flag will be critical for your safety. Airboats are versatile and practically go anywhere out there. Look into the designated flat entrances to be on the safe side knowing that airboats will more than likely be using those entrances as well.

Follow the rules and be extra careful, like a train those things go fast and don't stop  very quickly.  Things can go bad fast, add limited viability and a low profile boat in tall grass, bad mix!!!!!

I will follow all the rules and I have a extendible 10ft pole which i will have up when running and when stop and fishing I will put it up to 20ft so they see me from far. Thanks for your concern.
