Tarpon and peacock

Featured Replies

Woke up yesterday around 6 to go fishing with this cold weather. It was in the low 50's figured i will try out jig fishing for the first time in a couple canals in south Miami. I was throwing a Strike king Pro model jig (blue/black) with a creature bait as a trailer. After a few hours of no bites gave up for the day. Later on in the day i took my girlfriend to try another spot with a super spook junior and a kvd square bill crank bait with no luck. decided to get some shiners and tried a new spot and had better luck. Caught a peacock bass and my girlfriend caught a nice sized tarpon.

Thanka the tarpon photo bombed her lol. It was in the mid 60's but the water was colder. If the weather drops below that its some type of miracle.
