I can't decide which poundage braid. This will be more of general purpose use. The Curado 71 will be on a MH rod.

 

What would you spool from these 2?

    40 is about as small as I would go on a baitcaster.  Much thinner and it will dig in.

    I have 30 on mine.the 70/71 is made for lighter line/lures

    I never go lower than 30lb braid for casting gear. I like 30 for moving baits and 40 for jigs and other things where I am giving a good hookset, helps avoid dig-ins a little better than the 30.
