Ambassador Eon 3600?

Featured Replies

So, a friend of mine says he has an Ambassador 3600 baicaster, nib, that he's never used.  He asked if I want it.  Apparently it's a 6.3:1.

Anyone have experience w this reel?  If so, what's your experience and can it be used for bass?

Thanks,

They are good little reels, well made. It will be a good reel for ya, and a bass fishin reel for sure :)

Was my first baitcaster. The only "drawback" is, the side plate would twist off easy after a while. After 3 or 4 casts, I was twisting it back on.

No, but you can send it to me and then I will.  Be glad to pay shipping.  :teeth:

Absolutely can be used for bass.  I've got the 1600 size reels.  Casting can be easier than on some low profile reels.  Tons of mods available.  If you have nothing against round reels, then I think you would be very happy with it.

Uh - I'm not sure that there are "tons of mods" for the Eon series as I don't think there is much interchangeability between the Eons and the "Classic" Ambassadeurs. Could be though - I don't pay much attention to the Eon series.

Also - there was a USDM Eon that was sorta inexpensive...and a JDM Eon Pro that was a whole 'nother animal and much more spendy. Do you know which Eon is for sale?

Anyway, here's a thread from last year on the (standard) Eon 3600:

My mistake.  Didn't pay attention to the Eon.  Just saw Ambassadeur 3600.  :stupid:

Don't know what the Eon is.

I think he said it was a 3600c.
